Terms of service

The Cheese Wedge Co Ltd reserves the right to add to, amend or vary the terms and conditions, by appending additions, variations or modifications to a quotation or to any written correspondence with the customer.

 

 

 

You as a consumer have the right to cancel an order that is placed at a distance if done so within 7 days of placing the order. The consumer accepts all responsibilities for the payment of any delivery costs and has a duty to take care of the goods until they are delivered back to us in good condition. You will receive a refund of the value of the goods, less any handling charges if applicable.

 

 

 

Quotations do not constitute an offer and shall not bind The Cheese Wedge Co Ltd until an order has been placed and accepted. **

 

 

 

Verbal, telephoned or telegraphic orders and any variations to orders must be confirmed in writing by the Buyer, otherwise the Seller accepts no responsibility for errors or subsequent misunderstandings.

 

 

 

Catalogues, price lists or other advertisement matter are only an indication of the type of goods and no price or other descriptive phrase shall bind The Cheese Wedge Co Ltd. Only The Cheese Wedge Co.’s advertised prices at www.cheesewedge.co.uk shall be valid at the time of sale, unless specifically agreed by written quotation.

 

 

 

All information given in terms of price lists, catalogues or flyers distributed by The Cheese Wedge Co is given in good faith; however, whilst every effort has been made to ensure that the information is correct; The Cheese Wedge Co will not accept any responsibility for errors which may have inadvertently been made.

 

 

 

All prices quoted on any document or correspondence issued by www.cheesewedge.co.uk will have prices displayed are inclusive (as there is no VAT due on cheese), unless otherwise specified.

 

 

 

www.cheesewedge.co.uk will endeavour to complete the contract or deliver the goods within the time agreed (if any) but will not be liable for any loss or damage of any kind whatsoever caused directly or indirectly by any delay in the completion of any contract or delivery of the goods.

 

If the delivery of goods is delayed or prevented for any cause whatsoever beyond the Seller’s reasonable control, then at the discretion of www.cheesewedge.co.uk the unperformed part of the contract may be cancelled or time for delivery extended. Such cancellations shall not apply to completed parts of an order.

 

 

 

All claims for damage during transit, loss or items missing must be submitted to The Cheese Wedge Co within three days of delivery. In the case of non-delivery of the whole consignment, claims must be submitted in writing to The Cheese Wedge Co within seven days of receipt of notification of dispatch of the goods. In absence of claims within these time limits, the goods shall be deemed to have been properly delivered.

 

 

 

The buyer shall purchase items with full knowledge of the condition and suitability of the goods. Such goods however will be of merchantable quality unless otherwise specified by www.cheesewedge.co.uk. Any technical co-operation between www.cheesewedge.co.uk and the buyer will not affect this condition.

 

 

 

www.cheesewedge.co.uk shall be under no liability for any failure on the part of the buyer to comply in all respects with relevant safety precautions and requirements of all relevant government, statutory or other authorities, bodies or corporations relating to the goods and to the applications to which the goods are put.

 

 

 

The buyer shall indemnify www.cheesewedge.co.uk against any cost claims or demands which may be incurred by www.cheesewedge.co.uk because of such failure on the part of the buyer. It is the buyer’s responsibility to check suitability of our products if they have allergies.

 

 

 

www.cheesewedge.co.uk shall not be liable for any consequential or indirect loss suffered by the buyer whether this loss arises from breach of duty in contract or tort or in any other way (including loss arising from the Seller’s negligence).

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Some non-exhaustive illustrations of indirect loss would be: -

 

 

 

    Loss of Profit.

 

    Loss of Contracts.

 

    Damage to the Buyer’s property or property of any other person.

 

    Personal injury to the Buyer or any other person other than that caused by The Cheese Wedge Co.’s negligence.

 

 

 

The buyer accepts that it is their responsibility to insure against these risks.

 

If the buyer objects to these terms and conditions, objections must be brought to the attention of www.cheesewedge.co.uk before conclusion of any contract so that (which shall at www.cheesewedge.co.uk ‘s entire discretion) www.cheesewedge.co.uk may consider modifying these terms. Appropriate increases in the price of goods supplied under such terms may be agreed to reflect any increases, risks or obligation which www.cheesewedge.co.uk may thus agree to bear.

 

 

 

Goods that are found to be damaged, sent in error or not fit for purpose must be reported within 7 days of receipt.

 

 

 

Food items are non-returnable unless sent in error or are damaged or faulty in any way. Any items that need to be returned should be brought to www.cheesewedge.co.uk's attention within 3 days.

 

 

 

All contracts with the Seller shall be deemed to have been made in England and shall in all respects be construed and operate in accordance with English law.

 

 

 

*Other manufacturer’s names, products and part numbers may be used in material supplied by www.cheesewedge.co.uk. www.cheesewedge.co.uk does not claim that these brand names, products or part numbers are their own.

 

 

 

**This includes the placing of an on-line order or an order where by the payment is received before www.cheesewedge.co.uk has accepted the order. If this is the case the funds will be refunded, and the contract cancelled.
